ASSETS
Come on, why don't we spin the wheel
In Phantom Thieves International, characters will gain access to a number of abilities to aid them in their quest to reform society. Depending on their class, they may utilize different abilities, or utilize them differently.
Notoriety is an in-game currency characters acquire by taking part in events and passing activity. Notoriety can be exchanged for a number of perks as outlined below. If an Accomplice wishes to lock in an Asset in case they should eventually change class, they must either buy it with Notoriety to begin with or spend the equivalent Notoriety of the Asset's cost.
Link Points are an exclusive currency only Accomplices can access. Link Points can be gained through Social Links, and can be used to purchase more assets for a much lower price than other characters might pay for them.
Assets
Assets are the primary ability of Accomplices, but are open to all characters. Assets represent skills and material possessions that are typically useful in the real world. Assets are divided into three categories, Minor, Intermediate and Major, and each represents a different degree of skill or monetary expenditure.
Currently, all characters begin with 1 Minor Asset and Accomplices begin with 2 Minor Assets, 1 Intermediate Asset, and 1 Major Asset. Should an Accomplice choose to become an Infiltrator or Operator, they will lose all their Assets that have not been locked in with the use of Notoriety (except for 1 Minor Asset) - typically for someone to awaken their Persona within the Metaverse they will have to have been in a dark place where they have lost everything and have no recourse but to fight.
Minor Assets are skills a character can excel at but has had little or no formal education or training beyond their extra curricular activities in primary education, or a material possession that costs a few hundred dollars up-front to purchase, such as a laptop, game console, or other useful home appliance or furniture item.
Acquiring a Minor Asset requires 3 Notoriety or 2 Link Points

Intermediate Assets are skills a character has received a full university-level education or equivalent on-the-job experience for (and the connections that would arise from being in that industry), or a material possession that costs a few thousand dollars up-front to purchase, such as a car or a high-end computer or specialized piece of equipment.
Acquiring an Intermediate Asset requires 9 Notoriety or 6 Link Points

Major Assets are skills a character has extensive experience, facility and experience in equivalent to about 5-10 years in the field in addition to a full university education if applicable. This is typically a job of some prestige such as a Manager at a local firm, an Accountant, or a Police Investigator. Alternately, it can be a material possession that costs tens of thousands of dollars up-front to purchase such as a fully furnished house or highly specialized equipment or tools that can be used for machining and manufacturing on an industrial level.
